What templates are available?

The template library includes pre-built structures for Sales Kickoffs, Annual Conferences, Product Launches, Executive Summits, Roadshows, Trade Shows, and Internal Events. Each template comes with suggested budget categories and default line items that you can adjust. Enterprise customers can create and enforce custom templates across their organization.
Can I customize budget categories?

Yes on Professional and Enterprise. You can create custom budget categories and sub-categories, rename existing ones, and set category-specific variance alert thresholds. Starter uses the standard category set from the template library.
How does budget versioning work?

Every time a budget is edited and saved, Simplifi creates a versioned snapshot. You can view the full change history, compare any two versions side by side, and restore a previous version if needed. All versions are timestamped with the editor’s name.
Can multiple people edit a budget at the same time?

Budgets support collaborative editing with role-based permissions. Event Managers can edit; Finance Reviewers have view and approval access by default. Simultaneous editing uses last-write-wins with a conflict notification — we recommend assigning a primary budget owner per event.
Can I track strategic goals alongside the budget?

Yes. During intake, you can attach strategic goals to each event — leads generated, pipeline value, expected attendees, or closed revenue targets. These goals carry through to the ROI reporting view once the event closes, letting you measure financial performance against business outcomes.
